It's been awhile but we're back with another giveaway! This time we're giving ONE very lucky person a Steam copy of Deus Ex: Human Revolution Augmented Edition. Quite the prize, eh? Deus Ex has been a series which has been very beloved within the gaming community for a long time now. The latest release, Human Revolution, released to a ton of hype as well as critical and fan praise. It has its own share of problems (bosses anyone?) but it delivers an experience not yet felt in the gaming industry up until its release.
So, how can you get in on this giveaway? Well, all you need to do is comment on this article with your Steam ID and the reason why you need this game in your life. We won't count submissions without a reason and we won't count submissions without a Steam ID. Also, it isn't required but it helps more if you provide a URL link to your profile rather than just a username but again, it isn't necessary to qualify for the giveaway.
This is probably the biggest game we've been able to give away here on Smooth Town and we couldn't have gotten this far without you guys! From the interviews to our giveaways, we've been chugging along quite nicely but we're reaching a point where we might not be able to do these giveaways for awhile. Either that or they'll just start to happen once in a blue moon as we're clearing out our inventories to give out to you guys!
So, if anyone is kind enough to donate any amount then we'd surely appreciate it. Every penny donated will only be used to get future titles to then give away to you guys. We'll even host polls to fairly decide on the next big giveaway! What you give to us will only be given back to our readers and that's all we've ever been about here on Smooth Town. I rented this for my Xbox 360, when it first came out, and only really got past the first area before taking it back. I really enjoyed it, but never had the money to buy it for myself. I missed the sale on Steam, and won a DLC for the game that has been sitting around. It really seems like a missed chance for me.

I got the original Deus Ex around Christmas time last year as a gift from a friend on Steam, and I managed to track down HR shortly after it came out via Steam trading, but I ended up giving it to somebody I know as a thank-you for helping me out after I got ripped off the month prior. I've missed every sale since then, and I don't really have the cash to drop on it at the moment. Somebody who needs it more than I do will probably show up, but if not, I'd appreciate it. Thanks!

Invisible War such a disappointment and like so many others hoping to have an amazing sequel, IW just didn't cut it. Since I've heard so many good things about Human Revolution, I really want to re-live the experience. Really looking forward to sinking into it!

Deus-Ex is one of my favorite game of all time, along with System Shock and Thief (the latter has finally been released on Steam this week)! From the reviews, it seems DE:HR may have very well surpassed the original game.

Hmm...reasons, the tricky part. Everything I can think of has already been posted here....Maybe I do have a reason, yes. It has to be something "smooth" and and out of "town" I guess. Well Dues Ex is like a part of our life isn't it? We grow up, buy new things, change our hairstyle...in other words : we "augment" ourselves. Every year or so, we buy new PCs, new cellphones, new gadgets all to make life easier and better. I could go on and on, but you get the point. So that's it you have my reason.

I remember when one of the polish gaming magazines was giving first Deus Ex back in 2003 or 4. I really liked the game, graphics was little outdated, but the game was (and still is!) fun and the number of possibilities you can choose was awesome. I need this game because i would be so sad of not knowing the next chapter of the story. It would be a biggest unknown next chapter of the story like playing THe walking dead episode 1 and not make the rest of the episode of not knowing the whole story and plot.

What I want the most is seeing how this franchise is evolving and how this game plays compared to the original. I'd like to see if it has been dumbed down like most modern games or if it's still a 'clever' game. I want this game because I want to experience the freedom it provides when it comes to choosing how to approach a mission. I hate being dragged to tunnel like games where I just mash the same buttons over and over.
